JUPAS vs UCAS
JUPAS is the central application system for universities in Hong Kong, and UCAS is the one for full time higher education in the UK. Each lets an applicant apply to several programmes through one application.
Summary
- JUPAS is managed by a Board of Management, made up of two directors from each of its eight member universities.
- UCAS provides admissions to full time higher education in the UK.
- JUPAS covers nine participating institutions, including HKU and CUHK.
- JUPAS applicants may list between one and 20 programme choices, ranked in order of preference.
- UCAS allows five choices in total, and no more than four of them can be for medicine, dentistry or veterinary courses.
